Getting Here

Gardens by the Bay has an easily accessible location, one reason why it’s visited by hundreds every day. You can get here by taxi, bus or MRT (train). The easiest way to get to this site from the city centre is to take the MRT. What’s New?

Gardens by the Bay in Singapore has launched a new immersive light and sound installation called Borealis at their Supertree Grove. This installation is designed to recreate the experience of the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights.
The exhibit uses light and cloud particles to create a unique atmosphere amidst the grove, mimicking the natural phenomenon. It’s accompanied by a special soundtrack to further enhance the immersive experience. The coolest part? The effects are influenced by the real-time weather conditions, making every show unique!
It can be viewed every Monday (8.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.) as well as every Saturday and Sunday (9.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.) though remember to check the official website for any changes.

Flower Dome

Among other striking attractions of Gardens by the Bay, the Flower Dome takes the crown for being the most colourful and vibrant. At this stunning conservatory, you will see every shade of colour. Flowers on display here are from across the world. Roses create an eye-catching display with their varied hues and heavenly fragrances, and then there are flower species from the Mediterranean region as well. It’s a truly unique experience since your kids get to see all these flowers in one place. The temperatures here are a bit cooler to create the ideal climate conditions for certain flowers, so you might need a jacket. OCBC Skyway

To capture some Insta-worthy pictures and see the gardens from high above, head to OCBC Skyway. Its 22-metre aerial walkway gives you the perfect opportunity to view the stunning landscape from a unique perspective. The walkway is wide enough for your kids to run around and enjoy the experience. You need to buy tickets to access the OCBC Skyway and make sure you have at least half an hour to explore this unique feature.

Supertree Observatory

For another stunning aerial view of the gardens, visit the Supertree Observatory. The views you get from up here are truly remarkable. Nothing beats seeing Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer (a huge Ferris wheel) from the Supertree Observatory. You need at least half an hour to enjoy the views from up here. Supertree Grove

Garden Rhapsody

Another free attraction offered by Gardens by the Bay is the light and music show called Garden Rhapsody. You can watch the trees at the Supertree Grove light up daily at 7.45 p.m. and 8.45 p.m. It’s a spectacular sight, one you wouldn’t want to miss. The light show doesn’t stay the same and it changes every month with new music and a light arrangement as well.

Gardens by the Bay is home to several cafes and restaurants, including McDonald’s, Conservatory Café, and Satay by the Bay – there’s even a Starbucks for parents wanting a caffeine boost! So, whenever you and your kids feel hungry, you can drop everything and pop into one of the eateries for a bite. The menus are extensive and offer regional and international flavours.
